Logging
When you email bugs to the forums it’s really useful if you can provide a good description of what you were doing, as well as a copy of the log from Console. For this to work, you must enable console logging in the Preferences.

Here's a quick tutorial:

To get a copy of the log, first open the console, from Applications/Utilities
Once it’s running, you’ll see something like this (this example is taken after iShowU has recorded some video):

Console Log

1. Grab the log starting from the part:
===== Wednesday, 13 September 2006 4:15:33 PM Europe/London =====
2006-09-13 16:15:37.473 iShowU[2779] [RectSampler] - Creating a default sampler - through the singleton
2006-09-13 16:15:37.473 iShowU[2779] [RectSampler] - Setup the default sampler
2006-09-13 16:15:37.561 iShowU[2779] [GLGrabber] - Setup the GL grabber with 1 displays
...
to where it stops, and include that in your error report.
2. Sometimes you’ll see an error with a number (like -9405). If you’ve got this, it’s really important! please make sure to included in the bug report.
