Fun with Blender
It's official. Blender is very cool. I've been spending some time designing a new icon for iShowU - and have managed to produce something I think is OK. The idea is that iShowU allows you to crank out screencasts, so I thought I'd merge technology with a bit of old school - and came up with this (this is a super large version, so that you can enjoy it in all it's renderdness):

Back from New Zealand
As some may know, I had to take an emergency trip out to NZ to look after family.
I'm now back, and happy to report that I have uploaded a beta 1.14 release. Check out the changes on the
download page.

It's got a number of fixes that people have requested - so there's some good new stuff to check out.

Issue wise, the only remaining work is to get the level meter working for all devices. In it's current form, it works for any device with a kernel driver. So for me, that includes my external Edirol UA25, the built in microphone (including the one on the macbook pro), and the an external USB mic that I have.
It doesn't work for the iSight! I'm still looking for a solution, which may in fact be to fall back on QuickTime level metering if need be. I'd rather not do this, as the QuickTime solution is more CPU intensive.

Please download it and have a go!
